How can we make a folding chair that emphasizes a contemporary narrative, while using sustainable materials?

Making an object beloved is hard, but ensures use and care over a long period of time.

If something can’t be fixed, a new one must be acquired. One fixed object is another kept out of the landfill.

I created a full size mockup of an existing folding chair archetype in order to fully understand its mechanism. I added a strap of webbing to act as an arm rest. Then, I moved into CAD after taking measurements of the mockup.
